Branding for an Indian-Caribbean takeaway kitchen

Caribbean and Indian food share a common ground with the use of spices such as cumin, fenugreek and garam masala. SOKA was a hybrid kitchen utilising the best ingredients to showcase the best of Indo-Caribbean flavours. We were tasked with creating the brand identity that fused the two cultures.

Inspired by the visual cultures of Indian and Caribbean cultures

We designed a brand identity that reflects both visual cultures through a bold logo, bright layered pattern backgrounds inspired by the visual cultures of Indian and Caribbean street posters and signage. 

A sticker system for brand and marketing messaging was developed to allow the brand flexibility and creativity across all media from packaging through to social media.
