After an initial series of brand workshops we developed key aspects of the brand including the core values, positioning and proposition. This fed into creating a brief for the brand itself which then flowed into all packaging, design and marketing materials. The main focus was on the meaningful narrative of the brand to ensure a robust and lasting brand in a highly competitive market environment.
We devised a flexible brand identity system which we rolled out across numerous items from full range bottle packaging, social media content to exhibition stands and marketing collateral. With all communications we made sure we kept core brand values in mind through the consistent use of the brand image along with considered and engaging copywriting.
Our design for the full range of Kuro gin was led through the core brand’s value and needed to reflect the positioning of a premium and prestigious gin. After much experimentation with bottle shapes, colours and finishing we created a series of packaging designs that went onto win a prestigious industry award for the KURO gin packaging and brand design. This cements KURO as one of the most aspirational gin brands on the market and is a true reflection of underpinning brands with the correct positioning and values.
The Kuro gin website was designed to drive direct sales and customer engagement. Our focus for the website was to represent the brand online and build a user journey to convert users into purchasers. Mobile optimisation and usability was vital as through research we learnt a high percentage of users would visit the site on mobile and tablet devices.
